My second Mum

Created by Christie 3 years ago

I seemed to spend half my childhood in Anne's house - as Mame's best friend at primary school and as close neighbours it felt as much my home as Mame and Jems.  Anne was extremely good friends with my parents and when we moved down to Somerset they continued to see a lot of each other.  Too many stories to tell here but Anne was special partly because she just made life more fun.  When we were all together my mother and father laughed more and that's thrilling for a young child to be part of - grown ups having fun, who knew!!  With Anne's death i feel that the tangible parts of my childhood have really gone forever, the only view now is of those blue remembered hills.  Thank you Anne for your huge part in my happy childhood
